Bargain Basement is an online ecommerce business that sells online at 4 online platforms and 1 retail location in Singapore.
After running a successful retail store in Funan Digitalife Mall before the new revamp in 2019, I saw my business drop to near complete zero when the mall closed for revamp works forcing my store to relocate to new retail locations and having to rebuild my customer base.
With 2 staff to upkeep, I was left with options to close or press on. I chose to invest in building an online presence like no other. Today Bargain Basement has one of the biggest varieties of Mobile and Computer Accessories in Singapore and is a preferred seller on Shopee and also a Powerseller in Qoo10.
We started Lazada in 2019 and already today we have more than 2000 products listed making us one of the biggest sellers in Lazada.

I am not new to online selling having pioneered B2C and B2B ecommerce in 1998 starting Petsjunction.com (now closed) as well as several B2C and B2B portals back then. However being in a small market such as Singapore meant that ecommerce adoption was slow to take hold until 22 years later aided by a pandemic.
